Crane and Lifting Operator Training

Sector Description

The Construction Regulations require that certain construction workers carrying out safety critical tasks must complete Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) training and Non CSCS training where applicable.

The following Sectors falls under these categories where training is necessary:

All Cranes (CSCS and Non CSCS)
All Lifting Operations (CSCS and Non CSCS)

On successful completion of this training, persons are given a CSCS card or a NCTS Ltd in-house cert of compliance. These cards/certs demonstrate that the worker has received training in the relevant skills.

Testing and Inspection of Lifting Accessories (GA1 - 6 Month Test)

This 2-day training course is designed for personnel who are involved with the issue, purchasing and receiving back in of portable lifting equipment and involved in carrying out planned maintenance and inspection of in-use portable lifting equipment.

360 Telescopic Handler / Teleporter (Lantra)

Overview This assessment involves assessing the candidates' knowledge and skills on the telescopic handler through theory and practical assessment. Overview of Assessment • Be able to operate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers' instructions. • Carry out a pre-start inspection. • Operate safely under varying site conditions. • Be able to carry out minor adjustments and routine services. • Have an understanding of responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 & other current relevant legislation.
