This three day program will consist of classroom sessions explaining the underpinning knowledge required to be able to operate the machine under supervision. On completion of the course, the candidate will receive a log book allowing them to work under the supervision of a person with the relevant category CSCS CARD. Once the LOG BOOK detailing 6 months work experience has been completed, the candidate can then be assessed for the relevant CSCS CARD.
Candidates for this program must;
1. Have at least three months general construction site experience
2. Be at least 18 years of age
3. Must have completed Safe Pass
Course Content
Day One
Induction for new entrants
Registration and induction will be undertaken at the start of the day.
Day Two
Introduction to the machine. Candidates will be instructed in the following;
1. Induction to the Machine Operators Manual
2. Machine Maintenance Checks
3. Machine Operation
4. Machine Safety Awareness
5. Prepare the machine for movement
6. Travel the Machine
7. Machine Operations
Day Three
Machine Operations Continued; -
For the practical test candidates will be required to demonstrate tasks with the plant equipment for which they are being tested. The practical has a maximum time that all tasks must be completed within.
Tasks include;
Set up for operation and operation
Park and Secure the Machine
