Telescopic Handler - New Entrant

Course Description

The Telescopic Handler Operation Course is a comprehensive 3-day program designed to provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate a telescopic handler. Upon completion of the course, candidates will receive a Solas log book, enabling them to work under supervision. Once the log book has documented 6 months of work experience, candidates can be assessed for the relevant QSCS CARD.

The course begins with an induction for new entrants, including registration and orientation. On the second day, participants will receive detailed instruction on various aspects of the machine, including the machine operator's manual, maintenance checks, operation techniques, safety awareness, machine preparation, travel procedures, and overall machine operations.

The third day focuses on further machine operations, where candidates will be assessed through practical tasks specific to the plant equipment being tested. The practical test has a maximum time limit for completing all tasks, which include:

- Setup for operation

- Actual operation

- Proper parking and securing of the machine.

With a duration of 3 days, this course equips candidates with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to operate a telescopic handler safely and efficiently in various work environments.
